Everything you add to ClosetKit is stored locally and never uploaded to us:
This lives in the app's private storage. Uninstalling the app removes it. We cannot access or recover it.
The camera and the Android Photo Picker are used only when you add or change an image. Background removal and color/type tagging, and the selfie try-on overlay, run entirely on your device using on-device vision. Selfies and closet photos are not sent to any server for processing.
Selling is the only feature that involves a server. If you choose to sell, ClosetKit creates a ClosetKit Market account tied to your email, and the specific listings you publish — their photos, description, and price — are uploaded to ClosetKit Market so buyers can see them. Your wider closet is never uploaded; only the pieces you publish. Payments to sellers are handled by Stripe as the payment processor; we never see or store card details. You can delete your seller account and its data at any time from closetkit.store/account/delete. Marketplace terms and the seller privacy policy are at closetkit.store/legal.
The app requests a single permission: INTERNET, used for ads, in-app purchases, and — only if you sell — talking to ClosetKit Market. It declares no camera or storage permission; capture and selection go through the system camera and Photo Picker.
Ads are served through Google AdMob, which may collect a device advertising identifier and standard technical data per Google's policies. In this beta build, ads are Google test placeholders. Optional premium features are sold through Google Play Billing; we never see your payment details. See Google's advertising policy.
ClosetKit is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
